Our Story:

It all started with a dairy farm in 1975, and grew from a 50 cow dairy farm in Berthoud, Colorado to a 1500 cow dairy in Kersey, Colorado.

Our love of animals kept us in agriculture despite both of us being “city” kids. (David grew up in Boulder and Marcy grew up in Golden.)

Marcy’s family had a general store in Yampa, Colorado and that certainly set the stage for her love of the Colorado Rockies.  One day while browsing through a farm and ranch magazine, she saw a beautiful ranch for sale in Walden, Colorado. Why not she thought?

We are so glad that you have visited our website and hope you will visit us in person soon!

Marcy is holding a baby lamb in her arms in a barn.

Soon we embarked on a new journey along with running our dairy farm. In 2008 we sold our dairy and made ranching our full time job. Although it certainly doesn’t feel like a job!

We love what each season brings to the ranch and the bounty it provides. Here we raise North Park Grass Hay, Black Angus Cattle, Suffolk sheep, a slew of chickens, several (wonderful) cats, and Great Pyrenees/Akbash dogs.

Some of the activities we enjoy are hunting, fishing, camping, and photography. David has become a machinist and continues to keep this place running in top notch condition.
